Privacy & Cookies

This policy explains what limited data CompactStats handles and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible.

What we handle

• Access sign-in (beta): while the site is invite-only, sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Access using a one-time code sent to your email. Your email is used only to grant access.
• Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to serve and secure the site.
• On your device: we store your theme choice, your cookie/consent choice and (if purchased) your ad-free pass expiry in your browser's local storage. These never leave your device.
• Payments: if you buy the ad-free pass, the payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; Stripe provides us only with confirmation of payment and the receipt email you used, which we use solely to honour the purchase and handle refunds.

Cookies & similar technologies

• Essential: needed to run the site and remember your preferences. Always on.
• Advertising media (optional): if you allow it, the video-ad component loads media from Google, which may set third-party cookies. You can decline this and still use the whole site.

Advertising

If you accept ads, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Other advertising vendors' cookies can be managed at aboutads.info/choices. For visitors in the UK/EEA, consent for advertising cookies is collected before any ad loads and can be withdrawn at any time.

You can change your choice any time via the "Cookie choices" link in the site footer.

Processors we rely on

Cloudflare (hosting, security), Google (optional ad media) and Stripe (payments for the ad-free pass). These providers process data under their own privacy terms.

Retention

Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operation. We do not build advertising profiles or sell personal data.
